The Lotus Sutra is one of the most influential Mahayana Sutras that existed. It is hard to understand and hard to believe for most. Shakyamuni Buddha vouched that this is the true teaching throughout his lifetime. He only revealed this in the last eight years of his life. The concepts, doctrines and imageries used in this book are simply sublime. It advocated that all of us have inherent Buddhahood and can become so. This is across all cultures, gender and those with any past deeds and misdeeds. This was revolutionary in its time. This writing of this book helps to illustrate its main teachings.
