Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Maple Publishers Products

The contract between us

Maple Publishers must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be despatched. Orders are charged at the time of placing the order and you will receive an order confirmation email with your order details. Maple Publishers will confirm that your order has been processed by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your order form along with your receipt. PMaple Publishers receipt of your payment brings into existence a legally binding contract between us.

Price

Maple Publishers reserves the right at any time to revise its prices without notice, and Maple Publishers makes no representations or warranties about the accuracy of said prices. However, we will take all reasonable steps to inform customers of any price changes before orders are processed and charges are made, and will give customers the option of cancelling any orders before said charges are brought into effect.

You will be required to pay extra for delivery to some destinations or by certain delivery methods (such as overnight, courier or signed-for services) and it might not be possible for us to deliver to some locations.

Withdrawal by you from the contract

You may withdraw your order for goods at any time up to the end of the fourteenth day after receipt of your order even if you have then already received the goods. You do not need to give Maple Publishers any reason for withdrawing your order nor will you have to pay any penalty.

The only circumstances in which you cannot withdraw your order are where you have taken the goods you have ordered (or the ones in relation to which you want to withdraw) out of the sealed package in which they were delivered.

To withdraw your order you must notify Maple Publishers in writing via email to orders@maplepublishers.com If you have received the goods before you withdraw your order then, unless you have lost your right to withdraw because you have taken the goods out of their sealed package, you must send them back to the Maple Publishers contact address at your own cost and risk. If you withdraw your order but Maple Publishers has already processed the goods for delivery you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you must send the goods back to Maple Publishers at the Maple Publishers contact address at your own cost and risk as soon as possible.

Once you have notified Maple Publishers that you are withdrawing your order, any sum debited to Maple Publishers from your credit/debit card will be re-credited to your account as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order PROVIDED THAT the goods in question are returned by you and received by Maple Publishers in the condition they were in when delivered to you.

If Maple Publishers has insufficient stock to deliver the goods ordered by you, Maple Publishers will notify you by email at the address given by you in your order form. You will be given the option to wait until the goods are available or to receive a refund to your credit/debit card (or original method of payment). The refund will be made as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order. Maple Publishers will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

In relation to journal subscription payments, the payment received will be to cover the current calendar year and the journal issues will be despatched as soon as they are available.

Any such charges levied in relation to customs clearance must be borne by you. It is accepted by you that Maple Publishers has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. Maple Publishers recommends that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order.

If the goods Maple Publishers delivers are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, Maple Publishers shall have no liability to you unless you notify Maple Publishers of the problem in writing via email to info@maplepublishers.com within 10 working days of the delivery of goods in question.

If you do not receive goods ordered by you within 30 days of the date on which we despatched them to you (with the exception of items sent via surface post), Maple Publishers shall have no liability to you unless you notify Maple Publishers of the problem in writing via email to info@maplepublishers.com within 40 days of the date on which you ordered the goods.

If you notify a problem to Maple Publishers under this condition, Maple Publishers only obligation will be one of the following options:

  • to make good any shortage or non-delivery;
  • to replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective; or
  • to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question in whatever way Maple Publishers chooses.
Maple Publishers will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem you notify to Maple Publishers under this condition and Maple Publishers shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question under the paragraph above.

Force Majeure

Maple Publishers shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
